chipping away

my play is moving on well at last, behind schedule though, was hoping today would be the end, but another week probably should see this major draft done. Wanted to start on the novel next week. But between the paly and gigs looks like the big day will be the 10th of July. I can't wait, though i have had a new book idea today, so I must follow that up and see if there is any interest, if there is I'll have to take a while to put a proposal together. I'm slowly learning this game.

If anyone is coming to Peterborough tomorrow for my Faber gig. I'll see you there.

playing a heavy diet of jazz today.

Hey up to David Tibet, hope yr feeling better

6 Day migraine

ouch!, am off my head with legal drugs to try and quell the beast that has set up in residence behind my left eye.

my cures for today, a full breakfast, and listening to the B side of Bill Withers 'Ain't No Sunshine,' a mighty epic called 'Harlem,' thanks to Funky16corners. Check out his blog, very cool!

Got paid for some work, horray, always a celebration day for a writer, and proofs arrived for my next book - 'Poems from a northern soul.'

reading from 'Four Fathers' tonight in Halifax only down the road from me here in Hebden, West Yorkshire, I wish we could go back to calling it the West Ridings, more romance please, less boredom.

Knackered need a cup of tea

seriously check out

long day

been up since 4, no sleep for me. So I took to the hills and went up to the stones above the valley and just stood there, drank a flask of decaf coffee, and listened for an hour. watching moths in daylight, hearing curlews electrically charging the air. I stood until there was little separation between myself and the moor, became a rock, and came home wanting bacon and eggs.

Just watched the first episode of the 4400, lent to me by my neighbour, just don't understand why stuff like this doesn't make it onto TV. I live in a place where we only get 4 channels, the UK only has 5 public channels. to get anything else We have to get sky, as the powers that be won't upgrade our local transmitter to get freeview. and there is no way Rupert Murdoch is getting my dosh for a service we already pay for but can't have... anyway 4400, brilliant, best thing since 'Firefly' another unshown brill programme.

sorry there haven't been any updates here or to the site for a while, touring schedules have meant I've had not time at home really for the last month, things should get an update soon.
