yes your sometimes humble poet has taken up getting fitter, part mid-life crisis, part need to do something more with the body, the theory goes that being in good physical health, provides a basis for mind and soul, very greek thinking. Whilst I'm under no illusions of the current olympian influence, it feels might good to watch my body change shape and feel a bit more muscular. i notice how much the mind is involved, all my resistance is in my mind, years of it, and there is an analog in my approach to writing, i can only write so much, or at certain times of day and other BS.
Whilst away, I'm having a morning run around Russell Square, eight laps.. anyone know how far that is.. right round the outside path? such random thoughts, and the constant task of keeping my enegy flowing from my Glutes and lower stomach, rather than my hamstrings and back, as is my habit.
some thoughts whilst running:
Three, Three, Three, or the number of which lap I'm on.
my yoga mantra
Powerhouse, glutes, use the powerhouse
I wish I were running with Katie
(my running and training partner back home)
It's no use putting on a track suit and walking round
(to an couple who have all the gear on,
but aren't doing anything but having a chatty stroll for 30 mins)
Why don't good moral people, so called christian types
and the like who are railing against gary glitter pray for him...
pray for all sex offenders..is hate more important than change?
jacqui smith needs to do right by the law and stop being a red top chaser... the measure of a country is how we treat those we dislike or are our prisoners
Sunbathing pigeons
Someone is smoking a spliff at 8 am
bacon and egg
will i have time to write my 1000 words before stephen calls round.
Glutes, relax the shoulders
each step is taking life back
I hope all this results in me feeling sexy.
must by a new white shirt while I'm in town.
So there you have the content of my my mind this morning, i've left out bits about what I'm writing about, am working on a poem and a story.. but what is in them can't be spoken of here, they're not baked yet...
nanu nanu
