Lighting up Canterbury with Poetry

Recently I was asked to be Canterbury's Poet in the City. My brief was to make the city itself my canvas. Taking them at their word I inscribed the streets with haikus, blank walls and shop windows displayed verse, and trees held ribbons printed with lines of poetry. By day and night I wandered with the crowds gathering and recording ideas from both visitors and the inhabitants of the city a word here, a thought or an impression there, which I wove together into a Poem that is truly of, for and by the citizens of the Canterbury. The poem was then projected onto the walls of the Westgate Towers greeting people with art and literture as they went about their daily lives. .. This was all made possible by the wonderful 'Workers of Art'  A massive thank you to them.
